"Turtle" is the descriptive term for a candy that is made from chocolate, pecans, and caramel. The name "turtle" was coined because the arrangement of the nuts sticking out from under the chocolate makes one think of a turtle. The four legs are the nuts, while the head and the tail are formed by the extra chocolate runoff.

In 1949, twenty-year-old Charlie Plummer started Fleet-Plummer as a hardware store in downtown Greensboro. What started out as a hardware store all those years ago has evolved into your local eclectic mix of fine gifts, apparel, jewelry, patio furniture, outdoor accessories, grills, fireplace equipment and seasonal/Christmas items. And yes, we are still family owned and operated.
